Snap Electric is proud to show you the work done on a log cabin in Newry, Maine.

     This state of the art 5100 square foot log cabin is a great example of the wide array of services we offer. We started the project by working with Central Maine Power to run service to the house. Not a typical installation, service to the house spanned over 1100 feet and included crossing a river.

     Working with the architect we customized the lighting and location of outlets. Because of the nature of the log cabin we had to cut out each of the electrical boxes and had to drill through logs as deep as 5 feet to install the light switches. Work even extended to running and installing lights on a 120 foot bridge the home owner built.

     The cabin's custom stereo system has speakers and volume control in each of the 9 rooms. Not to mention Satellite TV and phone service. To give you an idea of the complexity and magnitude we installed over 4.5 miles of electrical wire, 4000 feet of speaker wire, 1500 feet of Cat5 wire, and 1000 feet of cable wire.
